Expert resume of Peter Selman
Peter Selman is the Chairman and Managing Partner of SEDA Experts, a leading global financial services consulting firm focused on dispute resolution. He has 30 years of experience in the finance industry spanning global equities and derivatives.
Mr. Selman is a leading expert in all aspects of equity products including cash equities, OTC options, listed derivatives, equity valuation, securities lending and prime finance, ETFs and structured products.
In his current role, he assists major law firms worldwide with dispute resolution. His firm has a focus on highly specialized expert witness with significant experience as industry practitioners. Mr Selman has consulted himself on a variety of disputes across equities, derivatives, funds and risk management.
Prior to this, Mr Selman was the Head of Global Equities and co-head of the Americas markets businesses at Deutsche Bank where he oversaw a substantial consolidation of the Equities business including a significant re-engineering of its scope, infrastructure, and balance sheet usage before its closure in 2019.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he built his career at Goldman Sachs, the number one Equities franchise, where he was the Head of Global Equity Derivatives and then Co-Head of Global Equity Trading and Execution Services.
During that period, he built and managed several class-leading initiatives including retail structured products, systematic trading strategies, and corporate equity derivatives. He served on the Firmwide Risk Committee, Executive Committee of the Securities business as well the Client and Business Standards Committee.
Mr Selman began his career in London at Goldman Sachs where he worked in equity derivatives from 1994 until 2007. He oversaw all aspects of the business including electronic market-making, structured products and OTC options.
Mr Selman is currently Chairman of Clowd9 – a fast growing global fintech focused on payments processing. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and is the Chair of the NYC Committee of Cambridge in America.
