David Gold and Associates
Until the end of February 2011 David Gold was a litigation partner at Herbert Smith, having qualified at the firm in 1975. After heading the litigation division, he became Senior Partner in 2005 and left the firm after being appointed by the US Department of Justice as Corporate Monitor of BAE Systems PLC.
David entered the House of Lords as a working peer in February 2011 and in March 2011 established a disputes strategy consultancy, David Gold & Associates.
David is chairman of the Conservative Party Disciplinary Committee and counsel to the party. He is also a governor of the London School of Economics and serves on their finance committee. David is an accredited CEDR mediator.
David has a pre-eminent reputation as litigator and is recognised as one of the country's leading litigators by all of the top legal directories. Actions in which he has been instructed include, Hammersmith and Fulham Loan Swaps, Abbey National Treasury Services’ claim following the collapse of Bearings and advising on a major Danish derivatives action.
