Jelita leads the Asia dispute resolution practice of Linklaters.
With over 15 years of experience in the Asia region, Jelita’s legal practice has always focused heavily on disputes and investigations for financial institution clients, including everything from regulator enforcement of market misconduct rules to bank joint venture disputes to defending claims arising from structured products sold to private bank customers. She is well-versed in all the main cross-border dispute resolution mechanisms – arbitration, litigation and mediation. Jelita has, over the years, assisted parties to achieve settlement of hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of claims, on many occasions through mediation as well as direct negotiation.
She is recommended by Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2021 for her “extensive expertise in international financial regulatory investigations.” Jelita is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has conducted multiple appointments as sole or co-arbitrator. She is admitted in Hong Kong and Australia and is fluent in English, with proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia.
