Jacek participated in shaping the institutional and regulatory framework for the Polish capital market in 1989 and 1990, being one of the drafters of the first Polish Securities Act. From 1992 till 1995 he served in the Polish Securities and Exchange Commission, the last two years as a deputy chairman for market supervision. In 1997-2007 he was a partner and head of Warsaw capital markets practice of Allen & Overy. Since 2007 he runs a legal boutique which, in 2016, transformed into a partnership.
His practice focuses on the debt and equity capital market transactions, M&A, derivatives, instruments based on distributed ledger technologies and decentralized finance as well as financial markets regulation and litigation. He is a permanent arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw and occasionally, in derivative litigation, at the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Bank Association.
He graduated from the University of Warsaw (master degree in law) and French Ecole nationale d'administration (promotion Condorcet). In 1997-2007, until the establishment of a permanent embassy, he was a honorary consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Poland.
He serves in supervisory boards of a number of financial institutions and pro bono organizations.
