Expert resume of Frank Graaf
Frank Graaf is a partner with Clifford Chance and is based in its Amsterdam office. He brings the benefit of 30 years of experience in banking, finance, regulatory and compliance work acting for banks, corporates and institutional investors. He specialises in derivatives, netting, regulatory/compliance and international capital markets offerings. Prior to the financial crisis he worked extensively on structuring CLO's and CDO's through Dutch SPV's.
Frank is the author of the book "Euromarket Finance: Issues of Euromarket securities and Eurocurrency syndicated loans" (Kluwer Law International, 1991) as well as numerous articles for legal journals and book contributions on Netherlands law. He serves on the editorial boards of the monthly World Securities Law Report and the Dutch Financial Law Series ("Financieeljuridische Reeks"). He is also one of five co-editors of the multi-volume looseleaf edition on the Dutch Financial Markets Supervision Act and has co-founded (and served as a Board Member of) the Dutch Association for Securities Law ("Vereniging voor Effectenrecht" since re-named as the "Vereniging voor Financieel Recht") of which most Dutch financial law specialists are a member. Finally, he is a lecturer on derivatives law for the post-graduate Grotius Academy. His most recent book analyses the mandatory clearing and bilateral margin reforms for OTC derivatives under EU and US law.
