Felix Dasser is a senior partner at Homburger in Zurich. His practice focuses on litigation and arbitration of international commercial and investment disputes. He acted as counsel and as arbitrator (sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chair) in numerous international arbitration cases under various arbitration rules and is President of the Swiss Arbitration Association ASA.
He also advises Swiss companies on international litigation strategies and on the impact of foreign regulatory proceedings and represents Swiss and foreign companies before Swiss courts and authorities. He has particular experience in financial matters having advised and represented banks and insurance companies in various civil and regulatory proceedings.
Felix Dasser studied at the University of Zurich, where he obtained his PhD in 1989, and at the Harvard Law School (LL.M. 1990). In 1999, he received the venia legendi (Habilitation) from the University of Zurich for private law, international private and procedural law and private comparative law, and became an adjunct professor (Titularprofessor) in 2005.
He regularly teaches, lectures and writes on international dispute resolution and international business law. He is visiting professor at the China University of Political Science and Law and, in 2018, taught at the Hague Academy of International Law on soft law in international commercial arbitration. He is also frequently engaged as an expert witness on Swiss law. He is recommended by the major league tables for law and is admitted to the Legal 500 Hall of Fame.
