Andrew leads Linklaters’ International Arbitration practice in the Asia-Pacific, India and the Middle East. Andrew has extensive experience of disputes in the financial services sector, including in commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and related enforcement litigation. He also frequently sits as arbitrator including in financial services disputes. Andrew is highly ranked in the major legal directories.
Andrew leads Linklaters' International Arbitration practice across the Asia-Pacific, India and the Middle East. He maintains a global practice specialising in international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and related enforcement matters. Andrew has 20 years of experience, including 14 years in the Asia-Pacific. He acts as counsel under all the major arbitral rules and frequently sits as arbitrator.
Andrew has particular experience of disputes in the energy, infrastructure, natural resources, financial services and telecommunications / space sectors, as well as undertaking general commercial disputes. Andrew was a member of the counsel team in the first investment treaty arbitration to recognise a derivatives contract as a protected investment.
He is an ACICA Fellow, a member of the ICC Australia Appointments Commission, a member of the International Law Association (ILA), a P.R.I.M.E Finance expert and serves on the SIAC Users Council.
