Experience

André Andersson was a partner in Mannheimer Swartling for 27 years. During this period he played a fundamental role in establishing the leading position of the firm’s banking practice and participated actively in the development of the Nordic debt capital market. For twenty years he chaired the firm’s Banking and Finance practice group. He continues with the firm as Senior Adviser, with a special focus on structuring and development projects in the financial sector. As Senior Adviser he will also continue to work with the firm’s international and academic relations

Awards

André Andersson was in 2017 awarded an honorary doctorate in law from Stockholm University. The award was motivated by his many years of service to the development and work of the Law Faculty through his support of research and teaching

Received the Chambers European Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Legal Profession in 2011.

André Andersson is one of the most renowned practitioners in the Swedish legal market. With enthusiasm and creativity he has developed the practice of banking law in Sweden and has been the mentor for a whole generation of finance lawyers.
