Alban Caillemer du Ferrage co-chairs Jones Day's global Banking & Finance Practice. He focuses his practice on the regulation, structuring, documentation, clearing, and collateralization of structured finance transactions, repos, stock lending, swaps, and derivatives in a broad range of asset classes, with a particular focus on strategic equity and structured credit.
Alban has been acting as French counsel to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) since 1998. He also acts in such capacity for the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA), the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), the French Banking Federation (FBF), the German Banking Association (Zentraler Kreditausschuss), and the Financial Markets Lawyers Group (FMLG).
Alban is a professor at the College of Law of the University of Paris II (Assas), a member of the Legal High Committee for Financial Markets (Haut Comité Juridique de la Place Financière de Paris), a member of the Markets Consultative Commission to the board of the French Monetary and Financial Authority (AMF), an officer of the Banking Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA), a member of The Hague P.R.I.M.E. Finance's panel of arbitrators and experts, and a member of the board of governors of the Uniform Law Foundation (UNIDROIT).
He has authored numerous articles, publications, and reports on a range of financial and international law issues.
