Mr. Amane Oshima is President & CEO of Japan ICT Fund. The company is a sole Japanese private-public fund specializing in the ICT area under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications that supports Japanese companies’ overseas business developments in the areas of information and communication technology, broadcasting, and postal services.

Mr. Oshima joined the Industrial Bank of Japan (IBJ) in 1984 and built his career in the Treasury Business field. He spent his early days in London as a Money Market and Bond Trader. From 1996 to 2004 he was a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in IBJ and Mizuho Corporate Bank, and oversaw the bank’s foreign investment book in the time of financial crises in Japan. In 2004 he was transferred to the derivative products sales field in Tokyo and subsequently moved to Hong Kong as Treasurer and led the expansion of the bank’s Treasury business in the East Asian region.

In April 2009 he became General Manager of the International Treasury Division of Mizuho Corporate Bank and was responsible for the bank’s foreign currencies ALM and banking portfolio. In April 2014 he was elected as a Managing Executive Officer of Mizuho Bank and had global responsibility for the market business of the bank. In April 2016 he became Co-Head of Global Markets Division and concurrently appointed as Deputy Head of Global Markets Company of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc.

Prior to his current role, he was President & CEO of Mizuho DL-Financial Technology Co, Ltd and headed a financial technology and AI & Data Analytics company and supported digital innovations of the parent companies.

Mr. Oshima works for the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Japan office as Auditor and participates in the Financial Markets Panel of the NRI as a panel member. Mr. Oshima graduated from KEIO university and received his B.Ec.
